How we source

Introduction Source tier B — verbatim reporting or hands-on testing: B

Feral has two 16-point talents: Primal Bite (Bear, high threat) and Shifting Power (Cat), with Berserk as the capstone. Restoration gets Wild Growth and Gift of the Earthmother (−0.5 sec GCD on Rejuvenation, Swiftmend and Wild Growth) — the GCD reduction matters more than the new spell. Revive is learned at 12. Skyborne Druid is new to both factions.

Playable by: Night Elf, Tauren, and 🆕 both Skyborne.

Best Specialization for Leveling a Druid Source tier B — verbatim reporting or hands-on testing: B

Feral (Cat, with bear on hand), 0/38/13 (Balance/Feral/Restoration) at 60

Warcraft Tavern's Forever Druid Leveling Guide says Feral cats have the smoothest levelling route and to 'stick with the kitty cat'; it calls its Balance build 'a lot weaker for leveling than Feral'. Wowhead's Feral level-30 guide publishes a 'Hybrid/Leveling' build and Icy Veins' Feral guide has its own levelling section. Cat gets Prowl and Shifting Power (Mana into Energy) for low downtime, and bear covers emergencies and dungeon tanking.

Says form damage scales with weapon DPS; Spell Power (Thorns) matters before 20. (2026-10-06); Level 30 build: Ferocity 5, Feral Instinct 3, Feral Swiftness 2, Savage Fury 2, Shredding Attacks 3, Shifting Power, Primal Bite, Sharpened Claws 2, Blood Frenzy 1, Leader of the Pack. Talented points go to Improved Shifting Power and 'Predatory Instincts' (renamed Natural Instinct on 1 Oct). (2026-10-04).

What is client-checked and what is not

Tree layout and talent text come from Wowhead's datamined Forever dataset (dv=30), pulled 18 October 2026, carrying the 15 October beta build. Names and max ranks were checked against the live client on 25 September; talents changed since then say so in their tooltip. Values can still move between beta builds — where this page and your client disagree, believe the client. Every talent with per-rank text: Druid Talent Trees.

Best Races for Druid Source tier D — our analysis: D

The racial effects come from Blizzard’s 15 October notes and client data. The ordering is ours — no credible outlet has published Forever race rankings. Every racial in full →

● Alliance

RankRaceRacial that earns itWhy
BestSkyborneWind Blessed — +3% hasteForms keep racials, so the haste counts in Cat and caster form. Needs the Heroic Pack or higher and starts on Zephras Isle, away from a partner for about the first 12 levels.
SecondNight ElfQuickness — +1% Dodge; Elune's LightThe Bear option for the Alliance; Elune's Light works in every form (racials work in Druid forms, Blizzard, 30 Sep).

● Horde

SecondTaurenEndurance — +5% Health; War StompThe Bear pick. Racials work in Druid forms, War Stomp included (Blizzard, 30 Sep).
What these rankings rest on

These rankings use the 15 October build's racials. Since that build no racial needs a weapon type, so Human and Orc crit counts for casters and Hunters too, and Skyborne's +3% haste is the strongest always-on racial for casters (for melee, Human's +2% crit edges it). A later beta build probably existed and was never documented; check the racials again at launch.

New Spells, Reworks & Playstyle Source tier A — official Blizzard or live client data: A

New: Berserk, Primal Bite (the Feral 16-point talent, renamed from Mangle), Shifting Power, Wild Growth, Swiftmend, Eclipse, Gift of the Earthmother

🔴 Since 15 October Moonkin Aura raises only spell crit and Leader of the Pack only melee and ranged crit, and both reach the whole raid. Until then both raised all crit and were exclusive with each other; whether the game still treats them as exclusive is untested. Furor now keeps the Energy you had when you left Cat Form, even through Bear. Tiger's Fury was removed on 1 October for Shifting Power (Cat: mana into 40 Energy); King of the Jungle was removed. Swiftmend no longer consumes the Rejuvenation or Regrowth. Insect Swarm moved into Balance. Feral Charge now has a Cat version. Berserk: Primal Bite hits 3 targets with no cooldown, plus +100% crit on combo-point builders. Forms keep potions, consumables and racials, and are immune to Disarm.

From Blizzard's class deep dives (30 September, 7 October and the Paladin one on 15 October) and the beta development notes of 24 September and 1, 8 and 15 October, as recorded in our knowledge base on 23 October. The 15 October build is the last one with notes.

Levels 20 to 30 Source tier A — official Blizzard or live client data: A

The beta was capped at level 30 from 1 October until it closed, so this is the stretch it tested. Talent points are level − 9: the 16-point talents are bought at level 25, and a 21-point talent at exactly 30 if every point is in one tree.

Bear and Cat form levelling works from the teens. The 16-point talents (Insect Swarm, Primal Bite, Swiftmend) open at 25; Nature's Grace, Leader of the Pack and Nature's Swiftness need all 21 points in one tree at 30.
